Senior Scientist
Bob is a Co-PI on Ocean Reference Stations, as well as being a Co-PI on Navy Task Force Ocean projects. He is keenly interested in air-sea interaction, upper ocean dynamics, the oceans' role in climate, sustained ocean observing, and ocean impacts on acoustics.

Tom is a Co-PI of the Upper Ocean Processes Group as well the PO postdoc mentoring coordinator. He is determined to make new measurements that help us learn new things about the physics of air-sea interaction and the upper ocean.

Al is a Co-PI of the Ocean Reference Stations with Bob Weller and actively manages many of the projects carried out by the UOP Group. He conducts research primarily around air-sea interaction, upper ocean processes, and oceanographic instrumentation.
Research Specialist
Sebastien both processes and analyzes air-sea interaction and CTD data. He also plays the role of chief scientist on 2 to 3 cruises per year, and is overall quite interested in the hydrological cycle and how clouds modify near surface meteorology.
Research Associate III
Yu uses Python-based techniques to process and analyze oceanographic data from the SWOT satellite, buoys, and wave gliders. She aims to enhance data processing architecture for oceanographic observations by producing well-documented data products.
Senior Engineering Assistant II
Ray builds, tests, deploys, and recovers oceanographic research platforms and instrumentation, and is very skilled at mechanical and electric systems assembly.

Ben is a multi-faceted engineer with versatile skills in electrical engineering, instrument and platform integration, and data processing.
Engineer II
Ersen's designs and analyzes buoy components, moorings, and subsurface systems, as well as assisting with field science cruise operation. He has interests in CFD analysis, hydrodynamic analysis, marine dynamics, and mechanical design.

Emerson specializes in over-the-side operations, data collection, and field services. He supports the scientific staff heavily with his skillset in mechanical and electrical systems assembly.
Senior Engineering Assistant II
Jason qualifies new sensors/technologies and operates the Clark South Calibration Service Center for the Upper Ocean Processes Group. His primary goal is to capture as much accuracy as possible out of any instrument.
Research Associate I
Austin applies skills in computation and IT to support the oceanographic research being done by the UOP group. His interests in data-driven programming and server administration allow him to keep the group's information systems running behind the scenes.
