Data Sources

The source of data for each meteorological variable at each site is presented in time-line form.

Sample Rate

The sampling interval for the VAWRs was 15 min, whereas that for the IMET systems was 1 min. Numerical weather prediction (NWP) products were available only every 6 h. Data were either averaged (IMET) or interpolated (NWP) as necessary to produce files with a 15 min sample interval.

Buoy Types

Sensor heights are different for the two types of buoys used on Subduction moorings. At some sites, the buoy type changed after the first deployment due to floatation problems with the Toroid buoys. VAWR Serial Numbers and Buoy Types
